Organisations can also become members through a nominated representative.
You need to apply, buy a £1 share, and have your application approved by the Board.
Members agree to:
Take an active interest in the Trust.
Attend general meetings where possible.
You become one of the owners of the Community Land Trust.
Every member has one vote, no matter how many shares they own.
Members elect the Board of Directors and help make important decisions about the Trust.
As a member you can:
Vote at general meetings.
Stand for election to the Board (if you're 18 or over).
No. Your financial liability is limited to the amount you've invested in your shares. You are not personally responsible for the Trust's debts beyond that.
